Throughout my practice I have developed a passion for interior and furniture design. This project explores the relationship between the body, fashion and interior design. It also delves into the symbiotic relationship between structure of the human body.<\/p>\n

The crafted pieces aim to metaphorically encapsulate wearable traits. For instance, the stool mimics the cinching of a waist – demonstrating the intimate connection between the human body and furniture, as well as how the furniture embodies the contours and movements of the human form.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Comfort is the paramount objective in both interiors and fashion. Our innate desire for bodily comfort influences our choices, guiding us toward certain products. The concept of my chair design, conceived to be essentially \u2018worn\u2019, exemplifies this idea. The chair cushioning can be removed from the frame to adapt to various body positions, providing customisable comfort.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The final showroom is infused with elements of the work by fashion icon Alexander McQueen. Much of McQueen\u2019s work is an expression of his emotions, sexuality and personality. Similarly, each piece of this project has a distinctive fusion of my own personal style, emotional experiences, personality and creative ethos, rather than directly imitating McQueen\u2019s designs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
