BA Fashion Design<\/h3>\n

Being a passionate individual of fashion who immersed herself creatively I have gained a comprehensive understanding of pattern making, garment construction and illustrated collections at university that are both explore mens and womenswear. My two final collections have explored The Great Outdoors focusing on rock formations and their structures for the brand Stussy and influence from New York Hip-Hop streetstyle and graffiti art for the brand Carhartt.<\/p>\n

My innovation to re-purpose and up-cycle tents has been highlighted in this A\/W25 collection constructing the printed quilted poncho of one of my final outfits from recycled tent materials. Screen printing on top, the vibrant ink colours and embroidery design have complemented my final outfits throughout. Experimentation of drape and structural forms of tents has allowed creativity for the asymmetric dress and this collection playing around with mixing materials and print for the brand Sacai.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

My first concept idea has been inspired by my interests in the \u2018Great Outdoors\u2019 focusing on rock formations and their structures where I have been inspired to experiment with dry point etching. This process has allowed for more detail and my hand drawn designs when engraving onto the screen and ink pressing to develop these samples and digitally manipulate for print design to use in this collection. The brand Stussy is recognised for their on-trend streetwear style in which this approach has fuelled my experimentation process and my innovative designs for my collection that are practical but still edgy and trendy for my consumer.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Inspired by the New York Hip-Hop streetstyle aesthetic. Looking at graffiti art, my second concept idea mixes both inspirations together as I design for Carhartt. Exploration of graffiti art has allowed me to play around with fonts and colour for embroidery and denim patchwork sampling, mixing different materials together. The collection is a mix of these fun sample developments and relaxed, trendy Spring\/Summer pieces that would fit for the brand Carhartt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
