MA Art and Design<\/h3>\n

Hi! my name is Anqi Zhang, a graduate student in University of Leeds and Im studying at master of Art and Design. My study area is User Experience and my work is trying to solve the issues in Xiaohongshu, an app in China and became famous in recent year because of TikTok refugees. I use a new way to translate the language on app to let people know some complicate or other unknown words such as “lol” in English and “666” in Chinese.<\/p>\n

This thesis, User Experience Design in Social Media: Facilitating Cross-Cultural Understanding and Communication of Chinese Internet Culture on the Rednote Platform, was completed by Zhang Anqi as part of the MA Art & Design program at the University of Leeds, School of Design. Supervised by John Hammersley, the work focuses on how social media platforms can be designed to enhance user experience while promoting cross-cultural communication, with a particular emphasis on Chinese internet culture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
