BA Fashion Design
As a passionate fashion designer, I am dedicated to expressing individuality through innovative design. My focuses are on contemporary design, as well as unique, cultural inspirations, with my four graduate collections allowing me to explore this further. Completion of a placement year has provided further guidance towards this and benefitted my development as a transferable designer.

I found that there is a lack of disability conscious clothing, specifically for visually impaired or blind individuals. Explorations into ways to address this highlighted Braille as a relevant form. Kengo Kuma’s architecture worked perfectly as an inspiration due to his strong focus on a sensory experience. Braille is present throughout, translated through simple descriptions on the garments.

I have a strong affection for the South of France, specifically an area called ‘Villeneuve-Loubet’ with many of my core, childhood memories originating there. This collection in inspired by this with incorporations of French countryside flare from the village combined with the coastal location to focus on playfulness and celebrating childhood.

‘Vision’ – COS x Bryan Charnley Art is inspired by my uncle Bryan Charnley’s art, developed to provide an exploration into the spirit of COS, combining their design identity with deep artistic creations. Loubet x The South of France, Villeneuve-Loubet is developed from the colours and local influences of the area, embracing a more bold and quirky approach to contemporary elegance.
