Degree Show 2025
Emma Hubbard
BA Graphic and Communication Design
I am a graphic designer and aspiring digital marketer that enjoys creative problem solving. I am particularly interested in visual identity, branding, typography and social media. The final year of my degree has allowed me to challenge myself and explore my interests through the freedom of self-directed projects, which has been really exciting and enjoyable. This year, I have also had the opportunity to work with Boom Marketing, a graphic design agency, where I have gained valuable hands-on experience working on a range of briefs, from social media to print.

Connecting… – A Zine on the Fear of Missing Out Connecting… is a typographic zine that attempts to mimic a lifestyle magazine in a way that induces feelings of FoMO through the content and physicality. The zine builds the level of distortion following the four stages of FoMO (denial, stalk, paranoia, anger) building the level of distortion. With ripped out pages, missing content and QR codes leading nowhere, the feeling of FoMO becomes almost inescapable.

DreamScape – A Dream Streaming Service to Combat Undiagnosed Mental Health Disorders DreamScape is a streaming service app, set in a future where dreams can be recorded and watched back when you wake up. The app would give advice on what the dreams mean and encourage users to get help for their mental health disorders in a friendly, gentle way. Designed by combining streaming services with mental health, the marketing campaign for this app spanned both print advertising and social media.
