This piece centres on the act of making a memory – drawing together neurological processes and personal experience to form an immersive installation. The final work, ‘Suspended Memories’, takes the form of a large-scale suspended mobile.
This suspended mobile explores memory as fluid and unstable, shaped by personal experience and emotion. Abstract forms, drawn from a personal photo archive, hung from a nerve-cell-inspired base. A spotlight casts shifting shadows, while slow movement evokes the fragile, ever-changing nature of how memories are formed and recalled.
