Skin Deep, 2026 Daisy Green This project, “skin deep”, explores the interconnection between the inside and the outside of the body, presented through abstract ink shapes and beading on a wearable garment. The beading mirrors cellular structures found within the body, whilst the abstract ink is indicative of shapes found within microscopic imagery.
This work has been designed as a semi-wearable garment, moulded to be draped over the head to appear as a ghost-like form. The fabric is semi-transparent, to provide the appearance of a human body underneath, the ink-staining and beadwork conceal identifying facial features of the body.
