Degree Show 2026

Understanding, Influencing, and Encouraging Meaningful Change in the World

Now in its 152nd year, the School of Design proudly presents its annual Degree Show, marking the culmination of the creativity, dedication, and ambition of our graduating students. This year’s exhibition invites visitors not only to engage with the works themselves, but also to reflect on the ideas and questions they raise about contemporary life and the changing society we inhabit. Across disciplines, our students share a common commitment: using design as a means of responding to real-world challenges with insight, imagination, and purpose.

The projects on display demonstrate how design can shape experiences, influence understanding, and encourage meaningful change. From improving accessibility in communication, to rethinking sustainable fashion practices, to exploring climate awareness through emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and immersive media, the work produced here extends far beyond the studio environment. We hope the exhibition encourages curiosity, conversation, and a deeper appreciation of the ways design can transform the world around us.

This year’s Degree Show highlights the breadth of talent, adaptability, and innovation within our final-year cohort. At a time when fresh thinking, generative technologies, and creative problem-solving are increasingly essential, these works remind us of the important role designers play in shaping more thoughtful and hopeful futures. The exhibition also reflects the commitment and guidance of the School of Design staff, whose continued support helps students realise their ideas and ambitions. Together, these projects celebrate a new generation of designers ready to make their mark on the world.
