BA Graphic and Communication Design

Design is the solution to a problem. Using critical thinking, I explore the use of colour, composition and context to enhance communication and strengthen the effectiveness of outcomes. Throughout my life, art has been a primary form of communication, shaping how I express ideas and connect with people. This has led me to develop a design approach that is not only visually driven but conceptually grounded with clarity and intention.

Dust Globe is a charity concept that helps support workers in Nigerian sawmills stay more protected since it is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world. It funds basic PPE boxes by selling snow globes made of dust from the sawmills which also spreads awareness on the issue.

Excessive screen use can negatively affect children’s sleep, attention, motivation, emotions, and behaviour. Hay is a health-focused educational app for children aged 2–8, designed to encourage healthier screen habits through calming visuals and creative learning. Parents and carers can remotely monitor screen time, track progress, and receive notifications when devices have been used for excessive periods.

This project makes plastic pollution visible through a rewarding recycling experience. Users recycle bottles in exchange for collectible charms, transforming recycling from a chore into an engaging activity to collect them all. Guided by circular design the concept encourages long-term behavioural change while educating users about pollution. Through reward, interaction, and awareness, the design promotes responsible recycling and environmental care.
