BA Graphic and Communication Design
My work spans branding, visual systems and motion, guided by design research that shapes purposeful and informed outcomes. I’m drawn to systemic and social design, using critical inquiry and thoughtful communication to make complex social and political issues visible while staying grounded in contemporary graphic design practice.
This project examines how Indigenous Sámi knowledge is excluded from global biodiversity frameworks. Drawing on Sámi relational worldviews, the design depicts eight symbols based on traditional motifs and conservation practices. The open composition resists fixed solutions, instead acting as a dialogic tool that challenges dominant visual authority and invites alternative epistemologies into conservation discourse.
This project visualises the “Move‑On Period” faced by newly recognised refugees, mapping the overlapping bureaucratic systems they must navigate and is rooted in data humanisation and social design. The motion graphic follows a fraying, looping piece of string to reflect the unpredictability of the process, supported by a poster inspired by transport maps. Watch the graphic via this link ›
‘Rush’ is a brand concept for flavoured sugar cubes, treating sugar as an indulgent, playful additive. Inspired by retro cigarette branding, the logo contrasts with modern and chic checkerboard packaging with an accompanying website that shows users how the cubes elevate everyday drinks. This work highlights skills in brand communications, packaging and commercial design.
