Ben Rushton is a graphic design student based in Leeds. During his studies, he completed a Year in Industry working at Golden, where he collaborated on projects with clients such as Nike Inc. and The Coca-Cola Company. Shown here is his final independent project, OPTIK, a visuals-first, contemporary record label brand identity that translates sound into a symphony of sight.
OPTIK serves to disrupt, empower and resonate within the music industry, challenging norms, embracing individuality and breaking the boundaries of music. Investigation into music visualisation methods, such as the study of cymatics, informed the development of the brand identity system.
