BA Graphic and Communication Design

My work has spanned digital and print, thanks to my year in industry at Design Office, where I experienced designing branding, advertisements, signage, logos and webpages, as well as SEO and content writing. Working in this small team helped make me a more well-rounded designer. Of all the areas I have worked in, I most enjoy designing posters and banners, as well as branding and logos.

These are examples of work from my final project, which involved designing advertisements and branding for fictional companies in a fictional setting, showing how world-building in video games can be effectively shown through graphic design. The project involved 3D modelling in Blender, designing advertisements and designing logos, as well as considering how design might look different and what brands might be like in this fictional setting.

These Leeds City Museum posters are from my first year of university. The project involved creating some prints that could be sold in the Leeds City Museum gift shop. They aimed to be more abstract, taking exhibits which had specific noises connected to them and editing the sound waves of those noises with effects which connect to the contexts behind the exhibits.

This project involved creating an advertising campaign to get young people to go to bookstores. One of the key benefits of visiting a bookstore is being able to read some of the books before you buy them. This led me to think of other things you try before you buy, which landed me at ice cream tasters- something fun and enjoyable, which is how I wanted to present the idea of going to a bookstore. Mixing the two led to these final posters.
